Lost-Group dynamic

In the TV series Lost, there is a group dynamic that is key to the outcome of the show. The characters include Jack, Kate, Sayid, John Locke, Shannon, Jin, Sun, Sawyer, and Hurley. All of these characters contribute their own role as a member to the group through their personality.

Sayid- is one of the characters that is like the coordinator and the procedure developer of the group. He leads the a small group into the mountains to find a signal for a radio and figures out it is going to be impossible for them to get off the island. In this case, he takes charge and tells everyone not to tell the others so there is still hope within the group. He also takes charge when speaking to the group to notify them what is going on as well.

John Locke- is the old man in the group who doesn't speak much but tends to be a harmonizer. When the little boys dog is lost and he wants his father to find it for him John Locke finds the dog and gives it to the father to give to the little boy instead of taking the credit for it. He felt that it should be the role of the father because thats what the little boy wanted.

Hurley- is more of the tension reliever of the group because he seems to add light to the situation of them being trapped. Hurley talks to Jack a lot and helps him stay calm through the process of working on the injured man.

Sawyer- is like a evaluator/critic and a opinion giver. He analyzes the situation and adds his opinion on everything, sometimes not helping the situation and causing tension among the group.

Sun- is a concerned wife to Jin. Jin tells her what to do and she is like a follower and doesn't ask any questions although Jin does care about her.

Jack- is the conciliator of the group. He offers his suggestions when they are encouraged and he wont go against the opinions he feels such as killing the marshal just because he is suffering.

Shannon- is a diagnostician because she likes to point out the problems going on in the situation not really offering her advice or encouragement but not being able to deal with the problem.

Kate- is like a elaborator/clarifier and also a follower. She doesn't say much but she evaluates the situation of the marshall and how much suffering is going on and when Sawyer convinces her to shoot the marshall she gives him the gun and allows him to do it cause she feels it would be the best thing to do.
