In the world today, language has evolved to a new and different approach that may allow an easiness to our everyday lives. In my own life, I know that with the busyness of life and the influences of others I use these obscenities, euphemisms and slang through communicating throughout my day.
Because of my exposure to the culture of today and being apart of a new age it leads to the slang that I use. Common phrases such as, "hey" and "whats up" take over the language of myself and the people I surround myself with. Living in a fast pace generation leads to these phrases within our conversations. They allow us to keep up with our hectic lives and keep things quick while we go from place to place.
Euphemisms give us the ability to shield the harsh realities of language and communication within the world. For myself, although they are dangerous and aren't the best way to communicate I use them throughout my day in order to expose my feelings in a good way. Common ones I use is to tell the truth about how I feel about a decision someone is making or the way someone may be dressed. I am a type of person that likes to avoid telling people bluntly how I feel and that is why euphemisms are a big part of my language.
With obscenities being a very influential and large part of the way we live our life's, they become a part of my life as well. Being a young kid, swear words and others are very powerful that push us to use them on a regular bases. I know that I use swear words along with many other kids because of the way they will give someone a form of relief. Because these words are powerful, they also give us a feeling of power because of the reaction that we get from others when we say them. These all shape our language and change the way we communicate with others in our daily life's.
